Roatan, Honduras is open for travel! The Government of Honduras has implemented new immigration procedures to ensure the effectiveness of airport biosecurity protocols to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

1.) Honduras Immigration 

The first prerequisite for entering Honduras is to complete the Immigration Forms online here: https://prechequeo.inm.gob.hn/

• New users will need to register for an account on the site.
• Wait for a confirmation email and then log in with your username and password.
• Returning users can proceed to log in.

Once you have an active account, log in to complete three (3) forms:

1.) Precheck (Prechequeo)

 You will receive a precheck confirmation email from the system with an attached PDF.  You should have the PDF printed or available on your phone when asked for it. 

To complete the Precheck Form you will need: 

1. Your passport (number and expiry date)
2. Flight details (airline, flight #, and date)
3. Address of where you will be staying

Please Note:

• For “United States”, go to “E” and select “Estados Unidos”
• Omit the apostrophe and enter “Springwater  Resorts” as your destination address.
• Enter “Camp Bay Roatan Honduras” without commas in your destination address.

2.) Customs Declaration Form (Formulario de declaración jurada de aduana) 

A PDF of the completed Customs Form will be emailed to you which you may print and sign.  (Alternately you can wait to fill out the paper form you will be offered on the flight to Honduras.)

Please Note:

• You’ll need to give the Customs Form to the immigration officer upon arrival to Roatan.
• Only one form is required for each husband and wife and children under 21.

3.) Health Form (Ficha de Vigilancia Epidemiológica de la Salud)

You are not required to print this form. Additionally, you will not receive a confirmation email.

To complete the Health Form you will need:

1. A photo of your passport page.
2. A photo of your COVID-19 VACCINATION CARD or COVID-19 TEST results. (The file format must be a JPG or PNG. PDFs will not work.)

Helpful Tips:

• The form cannot be submitted until 48 hours prior to your arrival date.
• Before the 48-hour timeframe, you can advance the process by creating an account on the site and getting your username and password.
• Once you have an account you may begin completing the questions; however, you must wait until you’re within the 48-hour timeframe to submit. (This is to avoid excess records in the immigration system).
• It is best to complete the form on a desktop or laptop rather than a mobile device.

What is happening in the east end in terms of Covid-19?

Date: December 20th, 2020

In the municipality, 352 confirmed cases have been reported and 346 recovered to date, in the second quarter of 2020 the first COVID-19 cases began. In the third quarter, a significant increase of confirmed cases was reported; It is reflected that in the month of July there were less incidence of confirmed cases, however, it is observed that between September 11 to 19, and October 6 to 15 there was an increase in recovered and assets. A decrease in positive cases is reflected, as well as in recovered from the date 16 of the month of October.

It reflects a significant increase in the care and number of symptomatic patients, likewise, those referred for being cohabitants of positive patients, the month of October and November reflects a decrease in patients compared to the previous months, but the percentage of positivity is the highest, making known the effectiveness of the brigades performed by triage located in the Oak Ridge community.
